James Boswell

James Boswell: Unofficial War Artist is published by The Muswell Press after a launch on November 9th 2006. It features drawings and paintings taken from the archives of Tate Britain, The British Museum and The Imperial War Museum. The text is by William Feaver.

Most of these works have rarely been seen by the public and form a unique record of the soldier’s life in World War 2. They are of particular contemporary interest, as Boswell was stationed in Iraq during 1942-43, where he drew extensively.
